Directory of Online Meditation Groups

I get asked quite frequently about local meditation groups and how people can build a community or sangha. I am often responding with lists of local meditation centers as well as online options. So partially for my own ease, and partially as a public offering, I offer this list of online meditation groups.

Just a few notes:

  • I have it as up-to-date as I can in this moment, but information changes. The last update was July 2026.

  • I know these organizations and many of the individuals. Some I have simply sat with, while others are peers I went through teacher training with. Although we are not associated with any of these, I do recommend them.

  • I am not offering my opinion or subjective views. If you have a specific need or preference, please reach out to me and I can share my opinion on what may be the most useful for you.

  • These are not listed in any particular order. Please do not mistake positioning on the list for a reflection of my opinion of them.

We currently meet every Thursday morning at 7am Pacific Time. We have a 15 minute meditation, 10 minute talk, and time for discussion and questions. You can find all of the information here.

San Francisco Zen Center

The SF Zen Center offers many online teachings and classes. They have an Online Zendo that you can log into and sit with. It’s really a lovely offering. They also have classes and groups on offer as well.
