Living with Awareness
A Tejaniya-Style Group
This is our weekly group in the style of Sayadaw U Tejaniya. We will discuss bringing awareness to everyday life, finding continuity of practice, practicing with right attitude, and observing the mind. This class is from 8:30-9:30am Pacific Wednesday mornings.
Unlike typical meditation groups, there will be no guided meditation in this class. We start with ten minutes of silent meditation, offer a short teaching, and then open the class for questions and discussion. If you aren’t familiar with Tejaniya’s teachings, I encourage you to visit this page to learn more and find resources.
You can also join our WhatsApp group for the weekly meeting links, as well as other meditation and mindfulness-related discussion.
This group will begin in January 2027.
-
Each session will begin with a brief check-in for those who wish to share. We then will meditate for around thirty minutes. There will be a brief break, followed by a dharma talk and time for discussion.
-
We will cover a variety of meditation practices including mindfulness, concentration, compassion, and more. The group is rooted in the Insight Meditation tradition.
-
This is a donation-based group. This means all are welcome regardless of their ability to support the group. Please don’t let finances be the issue that keeps you from practicing with us!

Nothing! All are welcome. You need not have any experience with meditation. All you will need is an internet connection and a cushion or chair for your meditation.
